Operation: Egg Heist

Susuta, moving, official art
The short answer

Operation: Egg Heist is a PvPvE mode for one to three players. You find the activated Sanctum, reach the nest, Twine the egg to roll it out, collect Eggshell Coins on the way, then escape through the Destination Mechanism and hand the egg to the Egg Boat, which mails it to you. Faint and you lose everything you carry. It opened on 19 September and unlocks after the level 50 promotion.

A run, start to finish

  1. Find the activated Sanctum.
  2. Reach the egg nest and Twine with the egg to roll it.
  3. Loot Eggshell Coins as you go.
  4. Meet the escape conditions and activate the Destination Mechanism.
  5. Leave and hand the egg to the Egg Boat, which mails it to you.
Watch out

If you faint, you lose everything in your backpack and everything equipped for the run.

Difficulties

  • Normal is open from the start. Hard opens at Rising Egg Scout III, Nightmare at Pro Egg Snatcher IV and Chaos at Elite Egg Seeker IV.
  • The rank ladder runs Rookie Egg Hunter, Rising Egg Scout, Pro Egg Snatcher, then Elite Egg Seeker.
  • Easier difficulties must be cleared first.

Chaos Mode

Chaos Mode opened on 24 September as the hardest difficulty. It unlocks at Elite Egg Seeker IV, and every run costs a Chaos Ticket. Tickets come from the Elite Egg Seeker IV rank-up rewards and from the Egg Heist shop, where the first costs 20,000 Eggshell Coins, the price rises with each one you buy, and the limit is 20.

Chaos drops far more Prismana Aniimo Eggs and Prismatic Collectibles, and ultra-rare Secret Collectibles can turn up. The escape conditions are stricter, so go in as a team.

Since 30 September an Erlath enemy that supports its group can appear in Egg Heist, so defeat it first, and Stellarys drops more Starine on Chaos.

Why the eggs matter

Egg Heist eggs are the only source of the Shadow Sparkling Style: hatched with a Sparkling Cube, they have a 1% Shadow chance. The mode also pays Umbral Aniimo Eggs, and Egg Vouchers for the Lumintech Shop.

Achievements

  • Egg-scape Unscathed: evacuate successfully.
  • Rising Egg Scout and Expert Egg Raider: reach those Egg Heist ranks.
  • Safe and Sound: evacuate in Team Mode on Nightmare.
  • Prismana Hoard: take 5 Prismatic collectibles.

Not confirmed yet

  • Launch prices in the Eggshell Coin shop.
