Egg Heist Chips

The short answer

Chips are add-ons for your Egg Heist gear, and each one needs a matching socket. The Attack Amplifier takes Damage, Resistance and Skills chips, and the Protective Unit takes Protection, Load Expansion and Vigor chips. Everyone wants Heal Chips, which need a Skills socket and have a 60-second cooldown. Watch out: taking damage stops the heal. You find Chips during runs and in Lucky Chests. The developers have promised more ways to get Heal Chips.

Where Chips come from

  • During a run: look for Chips as pickups on the island and in the Sanctum.
  • Lucky Chests: you get one for each successful extraction, up to a daily limit, and it can hold Chips.
  • More sources are coming. The developers have promised new ways to get Heal Chips, and Chips that improve melee (close-up) combat.

Illusory chips

Every chip has an Illusory twin with the same stats. Watch out: it only works in the match where you find it. You can't extract it when you leave, and it sells for nothing.

The gear the chips sit in

The Attack Amplifier adds Damage Amp: 20% at Uncommon, 40% at Rare, 60% at Epic and 80% at Legendary. The Protective Unit adds Damage Reduction: 10%, 40%, 70% and 90%. Attacks wear the amplifier down. Gear stops working when its durability reaches zero.

Energy stones you find on the island restore your gear's durability during a run. Higher-grade stones restore more. Repairs after a run cost Eggshell Coins. They also lower the gear's maximum durability.

Tip

Heal Chips need an amplifier with a Skills socket, so check the sockets before you buy gear. Use the heal behind cover, because any damage stops it.

Egg Heist Chips, answered

What do Chips do in Egg Heist?

They add effects to your Attack Amplifier and Protective Unit. A chip can give more damage, damage reduction, carrying capacity or stamina recovery. It can also add a skill such as Heal, Blink or Boost.

How do you get Heal Chips in Aniimo?

You find them as pickups during runs and in Lucky Chests. The developers have also promised new sources for Heal Chips.

Why did my Heal Chip stop healing?

Taking damage stops the heal, so use it behind cover.

How long is the Heal Chip cooldown?

It's 60 seconds, for all three grades.

Where do Heal Chips go?

They go in a Skills socket on the Attack Amplifier. Not every amplifier has one, so check before you buy.

What are Illusory Chips?

They're copies of normal chips with the same stats. They only work in the match where you find them. You can't extract them, and they sell for nothing.
