Secret of the Golden Helmet
Secret of the Golden Helmet is a hidden quest west of the First Sight Sanctum in the Russet Highlands. Three Helmuts guard a golden helmet on an altar behind a large tree, and the Devoted Helmut turns you away unless you are invisible. Twine with an Aniimo that has Cloak, such as Wisptis, sneak up and take the helmet: it becomes a Mountain Woods Helmut. Catch it, and Mountain Woods Helmut and Rookey start appearing across the Russet Highlands.
How to do it
- Catch an Aniimo with Cloak. The Wisptis family has it, and Wisptis lives in Berylline Causeway.
- Go west of the First Sight Sanctum in the Russet Highlands, to the altar on a small ledge behind a large tree.
- Twine with your Cloak Aniimo and turn invisible before you get close.
- Take the golden helmet. It turns into a Mountain Woods Helmut.
- Beat it and catch it.
What it unlocks
Once you have caught it, Mountain Woods Helmut and Mountain Woods Rookey can appear around the Russet Highlands. Mountain Woods Rookey turns up south of the forest there.
A Mountain Woods Helmut evolves into a Mountain Woods Pawney once you have pulled the Sword of Bravery.
The quest never appears in your journal and has no map marker, and it only plays once. If a Helmut stops you at the altar, you are not invisible.
