Alpha Magmarex is a Fire Alpha in an underground arena north of the Hot Spring Reef Bloom, reached by dropping down a geyser hole. It builds Fire Debuff through the fight, and at 20 stacks it overheats and hits far harder. Keep it below that with Water, which slows the buildup or strips it. Beating it is what lets Lavazar evolve into Magmarex.

How to beat it
- Drop down the geyser hole north of the Hot Spring Reef Bloom, with a flying Aniimo for the rocks in the way.
- Watch its Fire Debuff counter. At 20 stacks it overheats.
- Keep hitting it with Water. Water slows the buildup or strips it, and keeping it from overheating is worth more than anything you gain against it once it has.
- Aim for the late 40s before you go down.
