Idyll Ecological Investigation
The short version
The Idyll Ecological Investigation asks you to catch the Aniimo on a survey list for the Polaris Institute. In Part 2 it runs three times, from Friday to Thursday: October 30 to November 5, November 13 to 19 and November 27 to December 3. You need the title Student I.
From October 30 to November 5, the list is Hypnowl, Coinwisp, Popapus and Reefish, all in Crescent Bay. Each one counts only the first time, and it has to be the same form as the list. An Aniimo that's new to your Index is worth double points.

How to take part
- Finish the main quest Setting Out Again to unlock it.
- Open the event from the Events menu and press Track on a featured Aniimo.
- Teleport to the nearest point, find and catch it, then return to the event screen to claim.
Rewards
- First reward: 100,000 Credits
- Second reward: 25 Aniipod Tracks
- Third reward: 100 Sparkling Crystals
Tips
- Aniimo you haven't recorded yet give double points.
- Catching the listed Aniimo also counts toward the daily task to catch five Aniimo.
- Hypnowl, Coinwisp, Popapus and Reefish all live in Crescent Bay, so you can finish the list in one trip.
