# Capability Awakening

Source page: https://dailyaniimo.com/guides/capability-awakening (cite this page). From Daily Aniimo, an independent Aniimo site.

Capability Awakening lets you raise an Aniimo's Acquired Potential, one point at a time. You spend Star Dust, Star Sand and rarer crystals such as Starcryst Essence. You'll find it in the Training menu of Aniimo Management. How far you can go depends on the Aniimo's level and Resonance star rank. Innate and Acquired Potential together stop at 20 in each stat. Good news: while the Aniimo is below level 60, you can reset it at any time and get every item back.

## The two halves of Potential

| Item | Innate Potential | Acquired Potential |
| --- | --- | --- |
| What it is | Rolled when you catch or hatch the Aniimo | Added afterwards through training |
| Most per stat | 10 | Whatever is left under the cap of 20 |
| How to raise it | One Capafruit (+1 to all six stats), and Tracing the Trail investigation rewards | Capability Awakening, and certain Resonance star ranks (+1 to all six stats) |

Innate and Acquired Potential added together can never go above 20 in a stat.

## Awaken an Aniimo

1. Open Aniimo Management and select the Aniimo.
2. Open Training, then Capability Awakening.
3. Pick a stat and spend its materials to raise its Acquired Potential by one. Awakening uses Star Dust first, then moves on to Star Sand.
4. Keep going until you reach the current cap, the most you can add for now. To lift the cap, level up the Aniimo and raise its Resonance stars.

## Why it is worth doing

Acquired Potential raises the stats an Aniimo gains from its levels. The bonus also applies to the levels it has already gained.

Spend it on the stats that fit the Aniimo's role. Most builds put a DPS Aniimo's points into ATK and a Break Aniimo's into BREAK. A healer's go into REGEN and HP.

## The materials and where they come from

| Material | What it does | Where to get it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Star Dust | Raises Acquired Potential in Capability Awakening | Young Omega Sherro, the Coilstrike Club in Astra, the Daily Supply Pack, and sometimes Weston, the Mysterious Vendor in Astra |
| Star Sand | Raises Acquired Potential in Capability Awakening | Young Omega Sherro, the Coilstrike Club in Astra and the Daily Supply Pack |
| Starcryst Essence | A very rare crystal that raises Acquired Potential | Omega Infergon, or trade 10 Star Shards at an Outpost vendor |
| Capafruit | +1 Innate Potential to all six stats, one per Aniimo | Trade 20 Capaseeds at an Outpost vendor |

The Daily Supply Pack opens at Student III and costs 50 Primegy. It holds 3 Star Dust and 1 Star Sand, plus EXP and other items. Bonus: the weekly Alpha and Omega challenges also give Capability Awakening materials.

## Resetting

While an Aniimo is below level 60, you can reset its Capability Awakening at any time. Every training item comes back. Once it reaches level 60, that refund is gone. So decide where each point goes before then.

> Tip: A reset below level 60 gives back every item. So on a new Aniimo, you can try putting points in different stats. You can move them later at no cost.

## What each rating needs

| Rating | Innate Potential total |
| --- | --- |
| Common | 4 or higher |
| Good | 18 or higher |
| Elite | 24 or higher |
| Perfect | 32 or higher |

The rating shows the Aniimo's total Innate Potential, added up across its six stats.

## Sunglasses and crowns on Perfect Aniimo

A Perfect Aniimo's icon gets sunglasses when two of its stats have 10 Innate Potential. It gets a silver crown when three stats reach the full 20. An Aniimo can show both.

A Capafruit can only finish the sunglasses if two stats are already at 9 Innate Potential. That's because each Aniimo can eat just one.
